The French manufacturer has now put 20 of the 40 Areva M5000 turbines in place 45 kilometres off the German coast.
Following the installation of the remaining turbines, the projet is expected to produce its first megawatt hour before the end of the year.
The Trianel consortium, made up of a number of municipal and regional energy suppliers, is developing the wind farm.
A decision on whether to develop the second 200MW phase of the Borkum West 2 has yet to be made by Trianel.
