Sure Wind, which specialises in the German offshore market, will see its first twin axe fast crew suppliers (FCS), Sure Start, go straight to Esbjerg, Denmark.
The second vessel, Sure Swift, will be delivered at the end of February. Sure Start was ordered in September.
The FCS 2610 design enables the safe transfer of personnel on to platforms or wind turbines at wave heights of more than 2.5 metres. The vessel has a maximum speed of 26 knots.
The 26 metre vessel offers accommodation for a crew of four and up to 12 passengers and has an onboard crane.
Sure Wind now has 10 wind farm service and crew transfer vessels. It owns the first FCS 2610 ever built, which it bought from another British offshore wind company in July.
