The tender involves the installation of 1GW of wind turbines off the French coast. This includes 500MW near Le Tréport, northern France, and 500MW near the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier, western France, by 2020.
Other consortium members are French developer Neoen and EDP Renewables.
If successful, four factories will be set up at the ports of Le Havre and St Nazaire to supply the projects. Logistical facilities will also be based at Dieppe and Le Tréport.
The submission follows a bid for the same projects from an EDF-led consortium that will use Alstom turbines. CRE now has four months to evaluate the bids. They will be assessed on price, industrial plans and environmental and social aspects.
Bids will be scored in inverse proportion to price, with those over EUR 220/MWh being eliminated.
