The deal is for seven N90/2500 turbines and a five-year service contract. The turbines will go to Gibbett Hill, a new 15MW project. The remaining turbine will be used to extend Glenough 2 from 32MW to 34.5MW.
The turbines are expected to be installed between December 2012 and May 2013. When complete, it will take the total capacity of Nordex machines for ABO to 70MW.
In summer 2009, ABO Wind financed its first Irish wind farm: the €71 million 32.5 MW Glenough project in Tipperary with 13 Nordex turbines.
