Repower receives 115MW community deal for Germany

GERMANY: Repower has received a supply order from WEB Andresen for 115MW to go to a number of community-led projects in Northern Friesland, northern Germany.

The deal includes Repower MM92 2MW turbine
The contract is for 47 turbines with 33 of these coming from the 2.05MW MM82 and MM92 designs. The remaining 14 will be the 3.4MW M104.

The turbines will be distributed among seven wind farms in the region and are expected to come online in 2013. The deal includes a ten-year maintenance contract.

Speaking about the deal, Repower managing director Jens Muller-Nielsen said Northern Friesland was breaking new ground in Germany in terms of publicly owned wind farms.
