Nordex wins repeat 2.5MW turbine order

TURKEY: German manufacturer Nordex has sold Turkey's Eksim Yatrim Group 16 of its 2.5MW N100 turbines. The 40MW Amsaya wind farm, with forecast annual electricity production of 120GWh, should come online next year.

Nordex has already supplied N100 turbines for Eksim Yatrim's operational 45MW Susurlak wind farm. It is also installing them at Eksim Yatrim's 45MW Tokat wind farm.

Nordex was the leading turbine manufacturer in Turkey last year, with 195MW of turbines installed and a 38% market share. The company expects to maintain its market share this year, when Turkey should add roughly 500MW. "The Turkish market is one of the most promising in Europe," noted Nordex spokesman Felix Losada.
