Repower announces 23% Q1 sales increase

GERMANY: Repower has announced a sales increase of 23% for the three months preceding 30 June.

The manufacturer registered €248.3 million in sales for the period compared to €213.1 million in 2010. EBIT earnings are up €10 million from €1.5 million.

However, incoming order for the period fell by 33% from €323 million to €218 million.
Repower installed 195MW over the period with a large proportion of this coming from the UK’s Ormonde offshore project.

The company is currently in the process of being acquired by majority shareholder Suzlon. In July, Suzlon agreed to pay £63 million for the 4.84% share of Repower it does not already own.
