Dong close to decision on 385MW offshore project

GERMANY: Dong Energy is planning to make a decision in the spring this year on whether to proceed with the 385MW Borkum Riffgrund 1 offshore project, according to reports.

The energy company is currently considering the project in Germany’s North Sea, Dong chief executive Anders Eldrup .

Dong would initially hold 100% of the project but would look for partners for minority stakes.

Dong purchased the Borkum Riffgrund 1 and 2 projects . The two wind farms would have up to 77 and 96 turbines respectively.
