GE creates new global strategy role for wind

US: GE has appointed GE Energy general manager for Western Europe Diarmiud Mulholland to the newly-created role of general manager global wind services.

The new role will see Mulholland reporting directly to GE vice president of renewable energy Victor Abate

Mulholland will be responsible for developing GE's global wind energy strategy. This will include overseeing services, parts, operations and maintenance and the introduction of new products.

GE first hired Mulholland in 1993 as a part of its field engeering programme. Since then he has worked for the company in the US, Asia and Europe.
