The 30MW Vallée d’Arce project in the Aube département, to the east of Paris, consists of 15 Enercon 2MW turbines divided between three different sites.
The project brings Enel's total installed capacity in France to 68.1MW, of which 60MW were commissioned in 2009.
This gives the utility "a good base for the deployment of the ambitious development projects we have in France for the next years", said Francesco Starace, president of the company's renewable arm, Enel Green Power.
Enel said it has a further 80MW under construction in France and a development portfolio in excess of 500MW.
