A second phase of 15MW is awaiting consent. Borusan Enerji is jointly owned by the Turkish conglomerate Borusan Holding and EnBW, one of Germany's major energy suppliers, following a 50-50 partnership agreement last year (“uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç, April 2009). Borusan Enerji is targeting 2GW of mostly renewables capacity over the next eight to ten years, requiring an estimated investment of around EUR2.5 billion.
Wind Wire: Turkey - Borusan completes first plant
Borusan Enerji has completed its first wind power plant in the north-west of Turkey, a 45MW installation in Bandirma on the Sea of Marmara, comprising 15 Vestas 3MW turbines.
