Wind Wire: Bosnia - Funds agreed for 44MW project

The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina has given approval for the acceptance of a EUR71 million loan from Germany's KfW bank to finance the construction of the Mesihovina Wind Park.

In addition to the loan, KfW is providing a further EUR1 million as a grant for the project. Meanwhile, Bosnian state-owned power utility Elektroprivreda has committed EUR6 million towards the project. The 44MW Mesihovina Wind Park will be built in the municipality of Tomislavgrad, on the northern ridge of the mountain Midena and will consist of 22 2MW turbines.
