New chief executive appointed at British Wind Energy Association
Marcus Rand from Greenpeace is to be the new chief executive of the British Wind Energy Association (BWEA). Rand, who starts work at BWEA's London office in mid-April, was Greenpeace's renewable energy campaigner. More recently he worked at the Consumers Association. He succeeds Nick Goodall who is to leave in spring. Meanwhile, the association has elected Alan Moore from National Wind Power as chairman to replace David Still who is seconded to the Department of Trade and Industry. Moore's tenure runs until May, when the BWEA's biennial elections will produce a new board and chairman.
