Vestas supplies 52 MW in Castile La-Mancha
Vestas is to supply and build a 52.2 MW project in the south-central region of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. The facility, due online by end 2007, will use 1.8 MW turbines. The project developer is Energías Alternativas de Castilla-La Mancha, which is controlled by cheese producer, Quesos Forlasa. For Vestas, the order is the latest in a series received since March from developers in Castile-La Mancha with a combined capacity of 262 MW. At the end of 2005 Vestas has supplied just 76 MW to the region. Castile-La Mancha is Spain's second biggest wind market with over 2000 MW online.
