New 900 kW Enron unit tested

Spain's dominant wind developer, Energía Hidroeléctrica de Navarra, is testing a newly developed 900 kW wind turbine in Navarre which it has bought from Enron Wind. The turbine is a hybrid of Enron's American and German wind turbine designs, the Zond 1.5 MW and the Tacke 750 kW, says Enron Wind España's Sergio Castedo. It is the first of the new machine to be produced by Enron since it became 100% owner of both Zond and Tacke. Castedo expects large scale commercial production of the 900 kW turbine by the summer.
