Two more wind art sponsors for Expo 2000

Tacke Windenergie and DeWind Technik have signed on as sponsors to a DEM 28 million "wind art" project for the Expo 2000 world trade exhibition in Hannover, opening in June (“uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç, December 1999). Seven commercially operated turbines are to be integrated into art projects at six high profile sites outside Hannover. Tacke will provide two 1.5 MW machines with 100 metre towers, and DeWind will install a 1 MW and a 1.5 MW machine on towers of 67 and 65 metres, respectively. Supply of the remaining three units is still undecided and investors are still needed, says Windwärts Energie of Hannover.
