Eleven wind companies will participate in the Tehachapi Wind Fair on May 21-22 at the local Mountain Valley Airport, say organisers. The fair is sponsored by the Kern Wind Energy Association, Southern California Edison, Zond Systems, the airport, and others. More than 25,000 visitors attended the fair in its first two years. As well as wind turbines and a tour of wind farms, there will be activities such as hang-gliding, boomerang throwing, stunt kite flying and kids' games.
