NORFOLK PUPILS PRODUCE LEAFLET
Pupils at West Flegg Middle School near Yarmouth in Norfolk have produced a leaflet with several full colour photographs on how a wind turbine works. Two thousand copies of the leaflet have been printed for distribution to schools in the area. The aim of the 11 and 12 year old authors was to write about wind energy in a format which could be easily understood by other school children. Norfolk has one wind farm of Vestas turbines at West Somerton near Yarmouth. The operator of the wind farm, New Generation Projects, is sending the leaflets out in response to enquiries from schools and the general public, says West Flegg's science teacher, Peter Young.
