Fifty of Sany's 10MW onshore wind turbines have been installed at the Xinjiang Toksun wind farm in north-east China.
The turbines – each with a rotor diameter of 230-metres – were all installed in less than three months, Sany said in a LinkedIn post.
The turbine’s design should be able to withstand the extreme heat and strong winds in the Toksun region in north-east of China, Sany said, with its enhanced blade design, aerodynamics, and advanced cooling to improve wind resistance and heat tolerance.
The turbines also feature a modern Scada system for real-time monitoring of key metrics like blade stress and bearing temperature.
The project is set for full-capacity grid connection by late March.
