Turbine manufacturer Nordex has announced a spate of turbine supply deals for developing and repowering several onshore wind projects in Germany.
The largest deal will see the manufacturing major supply 11 of its N163/6.X turbines to the 74.8MW Bünne-Wehdel wind farm in Lower Saxony.
The wind farm is a repowering project of the Badbergen-Dinklage, with Nordex’s turbines set to replace the 17 Südwind 1.5MW S70 turbines on 114.5-metre lattice towers currently in place at the site.
Nordex acquired Südwind, which installed the turbines 22 years ago, in 1999.
Nordex said its new N163s would have a capacity of 6.8MW and hub heights of 164 metres.
