Vestas has announced its first firm turbine order of 2024, a 63MW order for a wind farm in Italy, to which it will supply 14 V150-4.5 MW turbines.
Delivery is expected in the first half of 2025, with commissioning planned for the second half of the year. Vestas will then provide service for ten years.
Over 5.2GW of Vestas turbines have been installed in Italy since 1991.
Vestas orders rose in 2023, the company reported earlier this month, with a record 18.4GW of new turbine orders helping the Danish manufacturer drive revenue up to €15.4 billion for the year.
