Floating renewables specialist Fred Olsen 1848 has appointed its chief projects officer Per Arvid Holth as its new CEO.
He will start as CEO on 1 March, replacing Sofie Olsen Jebsen, who had been in the role since Norwegian holding company Bonheur launched Fred Olsen 1848 as a standalone division in November 2021.
Holth joined Fred Olsen in 2012, and has worked in a number of roles, most recently as chief project officer responsible for developing the company’s floating wind and solar projects.
Holth – who also serves as deputy chairman of the Oslo Shipowners’ Association – had spent six years at engineering consultancy DNV before joining Fred Olsen.
In addition to its project development activities, Fred Olsen 1848 has designed a steel tubular semi-submersible floating wind platform – Brunel – as well as a mobile port solution for integrating wind turbines with floating structures.
