TotalEnergies buys Siemens Gamesa veteran’s clean energy AI firm

Oil major TotalEnergies has acquired a clean energy artificial intelligence (AI) firm that uses its software to help wind farm owners optimise output from their projects.

It is now the sole owner of Nash Renewables, which was founded in 2022 and is led by Siemens Gamesa’s former chief digital officer Daniel Luecht.

Nash Renewables aims to use various data feeds to enable project developers to optimise output during periods of high energy demand rather than pursuing the highest possible annual production volume. Luecht argues this will create more value for developers and investors.
