Renewable developer RES is planning five new wind farms in the state forests of Baden-Württemberg, with a combined capacity of 158MW.
The company won auctions for five sites in state forests over 2021 and 2022. It has announced plans to install a total of 22 turbines across the sites, with a capacity of 7.2MW each.
The farms will now go through the permitting process, and the renewable energy subsidy auctions. RES expects it will be three years before construction can start, and that the farms can be online by 2027.
The largest site will be in Grafenhausen/Bonndorf and comprise ten turbines. RES will install six turbines between Sulz am Neckar and Dornhan. Two each will be installed at Bad Waldsee and Eberbach. And two or three will be installed at Bad Saulgau, the company said.
