German engineering and technology company Bosch has agreed to buy output from a 50MW portion of EnBW’s 900MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea through a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
The PPA will take effect from 2026 and should provide Bosch with 200GWh/yr, EnBW stated.
EnBW plans to take a final investment decision on the project in the first quarter of this year, and to bring it into operation at the end of 2025.
This is the fourth PPA EnBW has agreed for the wind farm — it has signed PPAs with Frankfurt Airport for 85MW, with chemicals firm Evonik for 150MW, and with steel maker Salzgitter for 50MW.
Vestas is due to provide its V236-15.0MW turbines for the project under a conditional supply agreement.
