OX2 adds new gigawatt-scale project to Finnish offshore wind pipeline

Swedish developer OX2 has swelled its pipeline of Finnish offshore wind farms with plans for a new 1.4GW project.

The Finnish government granted it a research permit for the planned Tyrsky project in the Gulf of Bothnia last year.

OX2 will now carry out environmental studies for the wind farm, which is due to be located in an area south-west of Vaasa.

The project is due to include about 100 turbines and produce 6TWh per year.

Tyrksy adds to OX2’s 10GW offshore wind pipeline in Finland.
