Apex Clean Energy has reached financial close for its 224MW Pathfinder wind farm in Iowa.
The developer received a tax equity commitment from Bank of America, it announced today (16 August). It had earlier secured construction financing from a consortium of banks.
Apex declined to reveal the cost of Pathfinder.
Pathfinder is due to consist of 66 of GE’s 3.4-140 turbines and is set to start commercial operations in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Facebook-owner Meta – which has a data centre 65km away – is due to buy all of the power from the project.
