Development banks have agreed nearly €55 million in loans to finance the repowering of a 50MW Moroccan wind farm that will boost its capacity to 100MW.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is due to provide approximately €50 million in loans to a special purpose vehicle owned by the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy and EDF Renewables.
The Climate Technology Fund is also due to loan the developers €4.5 million to repower the Koudia Al Baida wind farm near Tangier in the north of the country.
Koudia Al Baida features Vestas turbines and was first commissioned in 2000.
