Ramboll hires new global wind chief

Energy consultancy Ramboll has hired Tim Fischer as the new director of its global wind division.

Fischer will be responsible for all activities in onshore and offshore wind around the world.

After joining Ramboll in 2011, he set up the company’s wind and energy services in Germany and took over its offshore wind business in 2019.

He built up Ramboll’s offshore wind consultancy offering to cover project development and advisory services, as well as wind, site and asset management services, the company stated.

Fischer started on 1 May, replacing Klaus Jacob. Jacob will stay and support Fischer in a transition period before leaving the company in January 2023.
