Siemens Gamesa to supply 434MW Brazilian complex

Siemens Gamesa has now secured more than 1.2GW of orders for its 5.X platform in Brazil and more than 2.2GW globally

Siemens Gamesa launched the 5.X platform in April 2019

Siemens Gamesa will supply 70 SG 5.8-170 turbines to Engie’s 434MW Santo Agostinho 1 wind farm.

They will each provide 6.2MW. 

The order takes SGRE’s Brazilian order backlog for its 5.X platform to more than 1.2GW, while global orders for the 5.X platform – launched in April 2019 – now exceed 2.2GW.

Santo Agostinho’s turbines will be manufactured in Camacari, Bahia and installed at the project site in Rio Grande do Norte.Â
