GE to supply 327MW for one of India's largest wind farms

Turbine manufacturer GE will carry out much of the manufacturing needed for SB Energy's 327MW project in India

SB Energy’s Pritam Nagar project will feature GE's 2.7-132 turbines designed for low wind speeds

GE Renewable Energy will supply 121 of its 2.7-132 turbines for a 327MW wind farm in Madhya Pradesh, central India.

SB Energy’s Pritam Nagar project is one of the largest onshore wind farms currently planned in the country, with only five projects with higher capacities listed in “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, the research and data division of “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç.

Turbine manufacturer GE will carry out much of the manufacturing needed for the 324.4MW Ratlam (SECI 6 - Adani) Ìýproject in India.

It will design components at its technology centre in Karnataka (south), manufacture blades in its plants in Gujarat (north-west) and Karnataka, and assemble turbines at its multi-modal manufacturing facility in Maharashtra (west).

Developer SB Energy – a subsidiary of Japanese conglomerate SoftBank Group – won the rights to the project in the tranche-VI auction of wind projects by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in February 2019.
