GE has secured a 576MW order for three Invenergy wind farms in the United States.
It will supply three wind farms in Michigan, Iowa and South Dakota, with all projects expected online by Q1 2021.
The deal includes:
- 54 of GE's 2.X-127 turbines for the聽166MW Crescent Wind Energy Center in Michigan
- 30听of GE's聽2.X-127 and six of its 2.X-116 turbines for the聽166MW Contrail in Iowa
- 97听of GE's 2.X-127 for the 307.38MW Deuel Harvest North in South Dakota
According to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), GE was the top US wind turbine manufacturer in 2019, supplying 45% of onshore wind installed across the country last year.
It supplied just over 4GW of the 8.7GW US onshore wind capacity recorded as coming online last year, according to 搖錢樹娛樂城 Intelligence, the research and data division of 搖錢樹娛樂城.
Vikas Anand, head of GE's for onshore wind in the Americas, said the firm's 2MW platform was 鈥渋deally suited鈥 for these locations in the US.
