The changes are to designed make Enercon better equipped to deal with the "highly dynamic current and future requirements linked with the company’s increased international focus".
A further role will be created at management level that will "integrate and advance the activities involved in Enercon's reorientation", the company said.
Jost Backhaus, who has worked in senior positions at the company for many years, most recently in production management, will head up the operational units, Enercon said.
Jörg Scholle will be responsible for technological developments. He has many years of experience in the wind energy industry, including at Nordex, and "possesses outstanding technological expertise".
Thomas Cobet will be responsible for financial matters. Cobet also comes with several years of management experience in the wind energy industry, including at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
Momme Janssen, Enercon's HR manager will shoulder additional responsibilites for the company’s new orientation.
