The fund will be invested across wind, solar, energy efficiency, storage and water projects and companies across North America.
"This investment will support the development and operation of clean energy infrastructure assets throughout North America," said Roger Sayler, executive vice president and chief investment officer of the Church Pension Fund (CPF).
The CPF claims to have "socially responsible investments" across 25 countries in sectors including sustainable forestry, green buildings, and clean energy technology.
Scott Brown, chief executive officer, of New Energy Capital Partners, added: "This fund reflects the growing interest from investors in the clean energy market.
"Our investors are looking for investments that deliver strong risk-adjusted returns, while also providing a positive environmental impact."
