Under the authorisation regime, companies bid for projects up to 30MW at sites of their choosing.
The four winners are all European-based firms: Germany's Abo Wind, at Mornag, in the Ben Arous governate south of Tuis; UPC Tunisia Renewables BV, based in the Netherlands, at Jebel Kchabta; France's Lucia Holding at Jebel Sidi Bchir; and VSB Energies Nouvelles at El Batiha.
The last three are all located in the Bizerte governate of northern Tunisia.

The facilities are due to come on line between May and November 2020.
The companies will then sell the output to state utility STEG at prices ranging from TND110 to TND135/MWh (€31.70-€39/MW) for 20 years.
Power purchase agreements should be signed by the end of January, according to Nafâa Baccari, president of the Tunisian wind energy association.
The tender, launched in May 2017 for 130MW, included 10MW reserved for projects up to 5MW.
However, the government did not receive any bids for the smaller capacities, Baccari said.
A further tender for 90MW under the same regime should be launched in March, he added.
