The company said it recorded 4.75GW of new orders in 2018, up from the 2.7GW it received in 2017.
Roughly a third of the order intake for the year was awarded in Q4, the company added, with 40% of the quarter's total being for Nordex's N149 4.0-4.5MW turbine — winner in “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç's 2018 technology awards.
Europe remained Nordex's main market with 41.5% of the order total followed by the North America (15.1%) and Latin America (25%).
Over the last four years, Nordex has grown its order total from 1.34GW in 2014 to 4.75GW in 2018.
This growth was aided by Nordex's acquisition of Acciona Wind Power in 2016, with immediate results.
But as the company's 2018 Q4 intake shows, Nordex is not reliant on the former-Spanish manufacturer's with its new onshore wind turbine model proving popular.
