It will install three L82-2.3MW turbines in the municipality of Staphorst, between Nieuwileusen and Rouveen, towards the north of the country.
Citizens will be able to buy 500kWh virtual divisions of the project from green energy supplier De Windcentrale.
Each wind turbine will provide power for about 8,000 households, Lagerwey added.
De Windcentrale has previously used this model to sell wind power to individual members of the public, but this is the first time it has done so for an entire wind farm.
Lagerwey will start construction of the project’s three foundations at the end of September 2018 and will complete it in May 2019.
Once completed, the site will be fully owned by the Dutch public, the manufacturer added.
