The manufacturer will supply and install 47 SWT-DD-130 machines, each with a capacity of 4.2MW, on Kvitfjell, and a further 20 turbines on Raudfjell, forming the Nordlicht project.
The turbines will be installed on steel towers at hub heights of 85 metres, and will be equipped with de-icing technology to adapt to cold climate conditions.
Under the contract for the order, SGRE will also provide service and maintenance for the turbines for 20 years.
Nordlicht is due to be commissioned in summer 2019, SGRE stated.
Ricardo Chocarro, onshore CEO at SGRE, said: "We are proud to install the Nordlicht onshore wind power plant since Norway is an important wind market with excellent wind conditions and appropriate sites."
Final investment decision (FID) has also been taken on the project, with asset manager Prime Capital overseeing the sale to German pension fund Ärzreversorgung Westfalen-Lippe (ÄVWL) and Siemen Project Ventures.
Aluminium producer Alcoa Norway has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for an unspecified capacity from the Nordlicht site, the Norwegian Wind Energy Association (NORWEA) reported.
Original developer was granted licenses for 200MW and 100MW projects on and respectively.
