The manufacturer will supply the 3.45MW model, optimised to 3.6MW, as well as its V110-2.0MW turbines to an unspecified 47-turbine project.
Vestas’ turbines will make up 136MW of the 150MW site, but, according to the manufacturer, "includes previously purchased PTC (production tax credit) components".
The V136-3.45MW model features the large diameter steel tower, and is designed for mid- and low-wind sites.
It was unveiled at the Husum Wind event in 2015, and has since been ordered for sites in , Mexico and Italy, and is also being marketed in China.
Delivery of the V136-3.45MW and V110-2.0MW turbines is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2018, Vestas stated, with commissioning of the project planned for the fourth quarter.
