CWind has played a pivotal part in most of Europe's offshore wind projects. The vessels and service supplier has been involved with some of the North and Irish Seas' biggest wind developments, ranging from the 630MW London Array (still the world's largest offshore project), to the 504MW Greater Gabbard, and 582MW Gode Wind 1 & 2 sites.
Following its takeover by Global Marine Systems in December 2016, the company has extended the scope of its services and now includes power-cable installation and maintenance solutions in its portfolio.
In August, the Essex-based firm won contracts at E.on's 400MW Rampion offshore project, to provide a fibre-optic cable pull-in service at the site off the UK's south coast, and a deal for the 396MW Merkur site off Germany to provide pull-in for 66 inter-array cables and the substation.
