SGRE wins 84MW multi-project deal

GERMANY: Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has won four small supply deals from a range of developers in Germany, totalling 84MW and 27 turbines.

Siemens has won the first order for its new 3.15MW low-wind turbine

The first deal will see SGRE supply developer GETEC green energy with nine SWT-3.2-113 turbines to be installed at the Energiepark Profen project in Saxony-Anhalt, northern Germany.

Five of the same turbines will be delivered to the PNE Wind Bederkesa-Alfstedt project in Bremerhaven, also in the north of the country.

A third contract is for 11 SWT-3.0-113 machines to be installed at the Straubenhardt project, developed by German solar developer Wirsol. The turbines at this site will be installed on concrete-steel hybrid towers with hub heights of 142.5-metres.

Finally, local renewable energy infrastructure firm VentusVentures ordered two turbines; a SWT-3.2-113 and a first order for the new SWT-3.15-142 low-wind turbine. They will be installed at an extension to the Vetschau project.

All the projects are due to begin or completed turbine installation by the end of 2017. SGRE will also provide servicing for 15 years or more at each project.
