Senvion is launching a portfolio of 2.3MW and 2.4MW turbines with rotor diameters between 110 and 124 metres.
The products are based on the Indian portfolio Senvion acquired from German manufacturer Kenersys in September 2016, but have been "optimised with Senvion technology", a spokeswoman explained.
By using Kenersys' Indian turbines as a base, it means the turbines already fulfill the country's regulatory and grid requirements.
"The Indian wind power market is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. The transparent auction system set-up by the government is a welcome move in growing the demand for wind power from non-windy states," said Senvion India's managing director Amit Kansal.
Senvion announced plans to establish an Indian subsidiary in February 2016. It acquired the Kenersys Indian product portfolio and a manufacturing site in August 2016.
In December, it won a 500MW framework deal using the Kenersys-designed products.
Nordex
Nordex is launching its Acciona Wind Power-designed AW125/3000 3MW turbine, which will become one of the highest output machines on offer in the subcontinent.
The product will be available on concrete towers and 120-metre hub heights, which Nordex said would suit "wind sites with [the] harshest wind conditions as well as for light-wind sites".
Nordex acquired Acciona Wind Power, the manufacturing arm of Spanish energy firm Acciona Energias, in April 2016.
The turbines are being presented at the Windergy India fair taking place in New Delhi from 25-28 April.
