The offshore joint venture announced it would turbines at the onshore site, owned by European Energy, in June 2015
The turbines are slightly different from the first prototype , Denmark, in 2014 with some "technical adjustments", the company said.
MHI Vestas was also using the project at Maade to test installation and operation proceedures ahead of the machine's first deployment at Dong Energy's 258MW Burbo Bank Extension offshore project this year.

According tothe company, the new V164 turbines, with a hub height of around 118 metres, have been installed next to a smaller project consisting of Nordtank 200kW turbines with a hub height of 30 metres.
The Nordtank turbines' rotor diametre measures a tiny 28 metres, compared with the 164 metres of MHI Vestas' turbines.
