Vestas will supply 20 V110-2MW turbines to the extension of the Khambaliya project next year. Vestas will also service the turbines for five years.
The Danish manufacturer said six of the turbines are an upgrade on a previous order for the V100 platform, with the remaining 28MW being additional orders.
In January 2014, Vestas received an order from Powerica for 25 V100-2MW turbines and one V100-1.8MW machine.
In 2011, Powerica entered into a framework agreement with Vestas for the installation of up to 225MW of turbines in India.
The developer has already commissioned several wind farms in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu using Vestas turbines.
