Nordergrunde
Cable contractor: Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke (NSW) has been chosen to supply and install the inter-array cables at wpd's 111MW Nordergrunde project.
The Nostag 10 vessel will be deployed at the North Sea site, 16 kilometres off the German coast. Nostag 10 was previously chartered to Vattenfall's Kentish Flats Extension project in the UK.
Installation of the inter-array cables is scheduled for completion in Q3 2016.
Project in June. Germany's KfW IPEX-Bank and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have agreed to finance the problem, with EIB providing a €156m loan. 24-Jul-15
Race Bank
UXO survey: Dong Energy has contracted MMT for its Race Bank project in the North Sea.
MMT will inspect and excavate potential explosive ordnance (UXO), within the wind farm site and along the two export cable routes. It also has an option to undertake disposal and removal.
MMT´s long term chartered multi purpose support vessel (MPSV) Stril Explorer will be deployed.

Butendiek
Corrosion protection: CWind is providing corrosion protection services to Ballast Nedam at Butendiek. The work began in May and will continue until August.
Last year, Ballast Nedam installed the monopiles and transition pieces at wpd's 288MW project, which is located in the North Sea, to the west of Sylt.
