Nordex wins 55MW Turkish deals

TURKEY: Nordex has been awarded orders totalling 55MW from ARE Elektrik and Suay Enerji Uretim to supply turbines to two projects in Turkey.

Nordex will supply the N117/2400 turbines to the projects

Firstly, Nordex will produce 19 N117 2.4MW turbines for the Kurtkayasi project, being developed by renewable energy firm ARE Elektrik. It is located in the Turkish region of Central Anatolia.

The manufacturer said the site is the developer's first wind project, having previously focussed on hydropower.

Nordex has also won a contract from local developer Suay Enerji Uretim to supply four N117 2.4MW turbines. The Abduk project will be located on the Aegean coast, western Turkey.

In February, Turkish developer Sancak Enerji handed Nordex a 52MW deal to supply the Yahyali project, also in Central Anatolia.
