The $30 million contract includes the supply of 230kV and 69kV substations, transformers, and overhead cables to the 216MW Sao Clemente and the 130MW Tiangua complexes.
ABB said it would also supply circuit breakers to isolate faults and prevent disruption to the grid to improve grid reliability.
The Sao Clemente complex, made up of eight smaller phases, is located in the state of Pernambuco. Tiangua, in Ceara, comprises of four phases.
Both projects will use GE turbines and will be brought online in 2016 and 2017.
Earlier this week, turbine supplier GE said it would construct an operation and maintenance centre at each project.
