Pattern Energy hands Siemens 200MW deal

UNITED STATES: Siemens has won a 200MW deal for 87 2.3MW 108-metre-rotor turbines to go to a project in US.

The project will use the Siemens 2.3MW turbine

The Logan's Gap project is located in Comanche County, Texas. According to Siemens the project will come online by autumn.

The project has a ten-year power purchase agreement with Walmart for 60% of its output, and 17% will be sold under a 13-year fixed price agreement with an A-/Baa2-rated financial institution. The remaining 23% will be sold at market spot market prices.

According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, Pattern Energy has around 1.8GW online in the US in US with projects including the 101.2MW Finca de Viento-Santa Isabel in Puerto Rico, and the 182 Panhandle 2 project, in Texas.

Both of these projects use 2.3-108 turbines.
