XEMC secures $54 million deal from CPI Jiangxi

CHINA: XEMC has won a 84MW deal for 42 2MW direct-drive turbines to go to a project in central China.

The Chayuan wind farm is located in in Xingguo in central China's Jiangxi province. According to XEMC, the project will come online by the end of the year.

The company also revealed the deal was worth CNY 335 million ($54 million).

CPI is one of the five large energy developers in China. Its diverse business operations cover power generation, coal, aluminium, railways and ports.

By the end of 2013, the company has installed 89.68GW of electricity generating capacity, with renewables accounting for 34.19%. This included 4.72GW of wind. CPI was ranked 408th on the 2013 Fortune Global 500 list.
