Vestas will install 149 V100-2MW turbines at the Kingfisher wind development, and will service the machines for a period of ten years.
Turbine delivery and commissioning are both expected to be completed before the end of the year.
First Reserve agreed to buy the construction-ready project from Apex Clean Energy in November. Apex will manage construction, and will serve as asset manager during operation.
Vestas previously supplied 49 V100-2MW turbines to Apex for the Hoopeston Wind project in Illinois, which was subsequently acquired by Ikea.
The turbine manufacturer has installed almost 12GW at close to 200 wind sites in the US as of the end of the third quarter of 2014.
